My Story

I’ve always been a maker.

As long as I can remember I’ve been building and making things using a variety of different materials. From cardboard armour and Airfix models as a child, to high density professional foam and 3D printing for my business. My making journey has been shaped by my own interests through historical periods to the films and TV shows I love.

In the early 2000’s, the release of The Lord of the Rings and the incredible props costumes and sets created by Weta Workshop had a huge effect on me and has continued to inform and inspire my creations to this day.

I started The Dragon Workshop in 2017 to create accurate yet affordable replica props and costume pieces. I have a particular specialism in arms and armour for fans to wear whether that be for cosplay, fancy dress, LARP or just for display.

I’m lucky that my business allows me to live out childhood dreams and make things that 12 year old me would have been in awe of when I first saw them on screen.

Thanks for supporting The Dragon Workshop - take a look around and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have questions, or a bespoke idea you would like to discuss.
